Three apartments of an apartment building located in Chisinau gave up autonomous heating in favor of the centralized one after the block chose to modernize the internal supply system and to install an individual thermal point in the basement. According to the heat supplier SA “Termoelectrica”, the dwellers saved about 30% on the heat bills, IPN reports, IPN reports.
In a press release, the company says the dwellers can connect and disconnect the system and can regulate the temperature depending on the needs. They have hot water continuously at much lower costs. They also have an own meter and a direct contract signed with “Termoelectrica”. They are independent from the association of dwellers or neighbors. Furthermore, the risks of explosion and contamination with noxious substances that can be emitted by gas-based systems in apartments were eliminated.
A comparative financial analysis showed that the dwellers of an apartment building with an old heating system in January paid 28.94 lei per square meter, while the dwellers of the block with a modernized internal system 15.02 lei.
The modernization works were performed based on a partnership contract signed by the administration of “Termoelectrica” and the Association of Condominium Co-owners No. 51/417. “Termoelectrica” undertook to work out the technical execution project and to ensure the designing, installation and putting into operation of five individual thermal points for heating water in the five apartment buildings and to set up heat meters. The association of dwellers is responsible for the rehabilitation of the internal horizontal distribution system and for the installation of hot water meters.
In the other four apartment buildings included in the project, the works will start this spring.
