Sarata Galbena children to draw on concrete plates along Chisinau–Giurgiulesti highway
Children from Sarata Galbena commune of Hancesti district will draw on Sunday with oil paint on a 30-meter-long fence of concrete plates placed along the Chisinau–Giurgiulesti highway, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The event is organized as part of the International Children’s Day and will bring together children from the boarding school in Sarata Galbena, the Community Social Assistance Center “Viitorul”, the local arts school, the kindergartens “Albinuta”, “Romanita” and “Bratianovca”, the Theoretical High School “Universum” and children from four villages that form part of the commune: Bratianovca, Coroliovca, Valea-Florii and Carpineanca.
Among the special invitees are: artists Ion Rata and Mihai Budurin of Catharsis band and their families, Georgeta Voinovan and others.
The event is organized by the nongovernmental organization “Service for Peace” of the Coalition for Law and Volunteering Promotion. It is supported by economic entities and forms part of the National Volunteering Week taking place between May 29 and June 5, 2009.
On June 2, the “Service for Peace” will organize a gathering of old persons and volunteers at the National Asylum for Elderly People and Invalids. The gathering will include contests, games, songs and dances. Folk music singer Ion Paladi will be the special invitee.
