Sângerei town placed under quarantine

Sângerei town will be in quarantine from March 21 until April1. A decision to this effect was taken by the Commission for Emergencies of the Sângerei mayor’s office after the first case of COVID-19 was confirmed in the town, IPN reports.

During the quarantine, the movement of citizens through the town will be restricted, in particular after 10pm. Police Station No. 1 of the Sângerei Police Inspectorate, in cooperation with the carabineer troops, will monitor and maintain public order. There will be set up two checkpoints at the entrance and exit of Sângerei so as to examine the citizens. Access through the town is restricted. Only the persons who need to make purchases and need the services of the Public Services Agency are an exception. Business entities will make sure the demand for food products is satisfied.

According to the portal that presents updated information about the COVID-19 infection in Moldova, three cases of the novel coronavirus have been confirmed in Sângerei.
