Sand and salt were spread on sidewalks in Chisinau in the morning of December 11 following yesterday’s snowfalls after the antiskid solution sprayed last night didn’t produce the expected result.

In the December 11 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, head of the Public Amenities Division Petru Gontea said six units of transport sprayed antiskid solution, but the quantity was most probably insufficient. That’s why sand and salt started to be spread this morning.

According to Petru Gontea, of the 42 units of transport they possess, only 14 could be used to spread sand and salt on sidewalks. It was estimated that at least 100 Hako units are needed to satisfy the needs in Chisinau.
