The sale of such perishable goods as dairy, meat, sausages and canned food in the absence of refrigerators is banned during the hot period. To prevent violations in this regard, the competent authorities will step up inspections at markets and near them. The measures are contained in a plan of action approved by the Chisinau municipality, IPN reports.
Stationary or temporary medical posts will be set up near markets and other food facilities for providing medical assistance to the population. The family doctors and medical assistants will be supplied with the things needed to prevent dehydration and hyperthermia.
Open-air activities between 10am and 6pm at preschool education institution and recreational facilities for children are not allowed.
The general recommendations for the population during dog days are: to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and swimming in stationary water; to drink at least two liters of water a day and to avoid drinking alcoholic and carbonated beverages; to wear clothes from natural fabrics of light colors, and to eat fresh fruit and vegetables.
