Salary bonuses for employees of NFSA and Blood Transfusion Center

The employees of the National Food Safety Agency and the Blood Transfusion Center could benefit from salary bonuses of 80% and, respectively, 40%, depending on the increment for length of service. This is provided in a Government decision drafted by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection that was proposed for public debates, IPN reports.

The salary bonus to employees of the National Food Safety Agency will be provided for high professional competence, intensity of work and specific character of their activity, while to employees of the Blood Transfusion Center for the promotion of voluntary unpaid blood donation.

The bill provides that the voluntary unpaid blood donation in Moldova rose from 13.5% in 2005 to 70% in 2015. However, despite the taken measures, the donors who are relatives or close people prevail in the structure of donors. The rate of regular donations stands at 19.6%. The new salary conditions are designed to increase the efficiency in encouraging and promoting blood donation.

The bill also provides that the personnel of the National Food Safety Agency will be entitled to six monthly salaries a year in award, calculated depending on the main salaries and taking into account the bonuses and increments set in accordance with the law, within the personnel costs approved for a year.
