Salaries up in public health system

The salaries for the 1st qualification category of the employees of the public medical and sanitary institutions will rise 22%, from 615 lei to 750 lei, from March 1, 2009. The decision was endorsed on Tuesday, February 10, at a government sitting, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to preliminary estimations, about 342.3 million lei will be needed annually for this increment.
The financial allocations envisaged for the salary payment will be transferred to the institutions strictly proportionally to raising the funds, reads a communiqué aired by the press service of the Government.
The decision to prepare the fulfillment of the second stage of indexing the money deposited at the Bank of Economy was endorsed at the same sitting. The second stage will be run along the first stage and it provides for indexing the deposits in ratio of 2.5 rubles per one leu.
