The Cabinet on February 22 decided that the salaries of community social workers will be increased by 20% as of January 1, 2017, IPN reports.

Over 1,150 community social workers serving in Moldova will get higher pays. A sum of 12.6 million lei was earmarked for increasing the salaries of this category of workers this year.

The Cabinet also agreed that the bonuses to personnel of budget-funded units will be paid from the saved remuneration funds for this year. The single bonus cannot exceed the basic salary of an employee.
