Sakey didn't return to Olimpia after leave
FC Olimpia's Ghanaian forward Erik Sakey and also a top scorer of the Moldovan premiership in the 2007/08 season failed to return to Balti after a short vacation, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Now the club insists the Ghanaian footballer broke his contract, a reason for which Olimpia lodged on Monday a complaint with the FIFA Disciplinary Committee to get redress.
According to sources close to the situation, Sekey wishes to renegotiate his salary with Olympia or leave the Balti-based club if the talks fail.
Earlier, African footballers playing for Moldovan clubs have complained that they are lured into the National Division by false statements that Moldova is part of the Russian Federation while the Moldovan premiership is an inferior division of the Russian Premier League. For many of these players, like Erik Sakey or Libyan Ben Tekloh (who left Nistru Otaci for Romania's Farul Constanta), the truth brings great disappointment.
