The largest cemetery in Moldova, the Saint Lazarus Cemetery situated in Chisinau, was cleaned and arranged for Low Sunday. The access ways to this were repaired. There were set up waste bins and bio toilets. Acting mayor of Chisinau Silvia Radu said she was satisfied with the done works. Drinking water is yet to be brought there. To facilitate the access to graves, all the gates of the cemetery will be open during two days, IPN reports.
On April 15 and 16, the private units of transport will not have access to the section of Doina St between Socoleni St and the main entrance to the Saint Lazarus Cemetery. The municipality identified about 1,200 parking places near the cemetery. Drivers will be able to park at 41 Cucorilor St; 189, 199, 191/1, 199/3, 201 Doina St; on Socoleni St at the intersection with Doina St; at 31 Socoleni St; on the streets Iazului and Ancara.
The buses will transport passengers to the cemetery free of charge. The buses running on Route C will set off from Vasile Alecsandri St, while those from Route D and the buses that run on Route No. 27 from the Circus. The minibuses No. 126, 132, 134, 154, 162, 184 and 189 will have longer itineraries, up to the Saint Lazarus Cemetery.
