Saint Hierarch Gavriil Banulescu Bodoni will be celebrated the day when he died, which is on March 30/April 12, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Metropolitan Bishop of Chisinau and all Moldova.

The Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, in a meeting on July 15, decided to canonize Metropolitan Bishop Gavriil Banulescu Bodoni so that this was remembered by parishioners in Moldova. The canonization service was held at Capriana Monastery on September 3. This involved invited hierarchs from all the bishoprics where Gavriil Banulescu Bodoni worked during his lifetime.

The relicts of Saint Hierarch Gavriil Banulescu Bodoni were laid close to the crypt of the voivodal church located on the territory of Capriana Monastery, where the Metropolitan Bishop rested until recently.
