SA Termocom proposes higher heating charge
SA Termocom demands raising the heating charge about two times. According to the heat supplier's calculations, the new charge must be 898 lei per gigacalorie, Info-Prim Neo reports.
After Monday's meeting of the Chisinau City Hall, Termocom commercial director Mihai Arusoi told the reporters that the new charge was presented to the local public authorities, who are to examine it, draft a relevant decision and submit it to the Chisinau Municipal Council for approval.
Shortly afterward, SA Termocom issued a communique where it is announced a new charge, of 798.03 lei. The communique says that this charge is by 42 lei lower than the one demanded for the previous heating season, which was not examined by the City Hall and the Council. As a result, the heat supplier sustained losses of over 153 million lei during the first eight months of this year alone.
Termocom says that the charge was decreased fist of all because its costs diminished following the reduction in the natural gas tariffs and in the losses sustained in the network. The decrease would have been larger if the National Agency for Energy Regulation had reduced the natural gas tariffs more, as well as the tariffs on the heat supplied by the thermoelectric power plants CET-1 and CET-2, which remained at the same level.
Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca asked that all the calculations be done in a transparent way so that the people know exactly what services they pay money for.
