The Chisinau water supplier was equipped with seven new bulldozers and six mini-excavators within the Priority Investments Program that is financed by the EBRD and EIB. The machines will start to work in May, IPN reports.

According to the press service of SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau”, the 13 machines will help to increase the quality of repair works on water pipes and to diminish the number of accidents and leakages. Owing to these units of transport, the period of time needed for performing works and the intervention costs will decrease. It will be possible to gradually replace the old excavators.

Representatives of the factory that made the machines of JCB make already trained the machinists.

SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” said that most of the excavators used now by the company date from 1980-1985 and large investments are needed to renew them.
