The Rybnitsa metallurgical plant resumed work after a pause of half a year. The company’s administration announced that 28,000 tonnes of laminated steel will be produced this year, IPN reports.

According to “Novostipmr” Agency, the administration anticipates that the production of laminated steel next year will rise to 35,000 tonnes. The plant stopped work at the end of last year following a lower demand for its products and an increase in the price of scarp metal that it uses as raw material.

The resumption of work was possible after the Transnistrian administration signed an agreement with the plant’s owners. The Transnistrian authorities pledged to provide assistance to the plant.
