The Republic of Moldova firmly condemns the recent statements made by the Russian Federation’s representative to the Russian-occupied Kherson Oblast, who said that Russia could struck the bridge in Giurgiulesti, IPN reports.

“Such statements are fully unacceptable. We will not tolerate such declarations with regard to the Republic of Moldova. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration will urgently summon the head of the diplomatic mission of the Russian Federations to the Republic of Moldova and will ask him to provide explanations,” said Igor Zakharov, adviser on communication at the Ministry.

After reportedly Ukrainian missiles struck the Chonhar road bridge connecting Crimea with Russian-held parts of the southern Kherson region overnight, Vladimir Saldo, the Russia-appointed governor of occupied Kherson, said that the coordinates of the bridge in Odessa and of the bridge in Giurgiulesti are known and a very serious response will follow.
