Two servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, who intended to reach the Transnistrian region to carry out a number of inspection activities, were sent back to Moscow from the Chisinau International Airport, IPN reports.
The Border Police informed that the Russian servicemen, who were passengers of the Moscow-Chisinau flight, were identified during a check of the travel documents. Under the relevant rules agreed by the competent authorities of Moldova and Russia, the Border Police was to be informed about the visit by the given persons beforehand. As no such notification was received, the goal of the visit wasn’t confirmed and the Russian servicemen weren’t allowed to enter Moldova.
Military uniforms, awards and soldier’s records were found on the two as a result of an additional check.
