Russian military cargo plane flies to Tiraspol
A Russian military cargo plane today landed at the Chisinau International Airport for customs and border procedures and then continued its flight to Tiraspol, from where it will take eight disassembled helicopters formerly used in peacekeeping operations, Info-Prim Neo learned from a press release of the Reintegration Bureau.
Due to their old age, the helicopters haven't been used for quite a while and will be withdrawn from service.
Returning from Tiraspol, the plane laden with the helicopters will again stop over in Chisinau to undergo similar procedures.
The transfer process is monitored by observers from the OSCE Mission to Moldova.
