Russian Federation has imposed new requirements for foreign citizens and stateless individuals crossing its state border, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova.
Under a decision adopted by the Government of the Russian Federation, from December 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, all foreign individuals entering or exiting Russia will be required to undergo biometric data collection procedures, IPN reports.
This measure applies to international airports "Seremetievo," "Domodedovo," "Vnukovo," and "Jukovschii" in Moscow, as well as the land crossing point "Mastakovo" in the Orenburg region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Moldovan citizens planning to travel to Russia to stay informed and prepare for these new procedures.
