In a communiqué, the Embassy says it will follow how the investigation is conducted and expresses its conviction that the circumstances of the incident will be examined thoroughly, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I’m sure that all the circumstances of this case will be taken into account, including the fact that the victim flagrantly violated the post crossing rules, was inebriated and drove a car that did not belong to him. There was also a risk that the man could drive over one of the military men. He damaged the safety barrier and did not stop even when warning shots were fired,” Russian Ambassador Valery Kuzmi said after a meeting with Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca and Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Eugen Karpov on January 2.
