Russian economy minister to come to Chisinau
The Minister for Economic Development of the Russian Federation Elvira Nabiullina will pay a working visit to Chisinau on March 25, 2009, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Public Relations Service of the Ministry of Economy and Trade of Moldova.
The Russian minister will have bilateral meetings with Moldova’s President Vladimir Voronin and officials of the Ministry of Economy and Trade.
Elvira Nabiullina will also make statements for the press. At the end of her visit to Chisinau, she will visit the Commercial Representative Office of the Russian Federation in Moldova.
Trade between Moldova and Russia in 2008 was $984.5 million, up $253.2 million or 34.6% from 2007.
Moldova’s exports to Russia totaled $318.4 million, while imports came to $666.1 million. Russia is Moldova’s third largest trading partner.
