Russian deputy minister Grigory Karasin to travel to Chisinau

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Grigory Karasin will be paying a working visit to Moldova during March 20-22. The agenda of the visit includes meetings with senior state officials of Moldova, which will focus on aspects of the Moldovan-Russian relations, IPN reports.

According to the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Alexandru Roitman, the Russian official on March 20 will have a meeting with Foreign Affairs and European Integration Tudor Ulianovschi. After this, the two officials will make statements for the press.

The Ministry didn’t specify if Grigory Karasin will also visit Tiraspol.

Also, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office’s Special Representative for the Transnistrian Settlement Process Franco Frattini will travel to the Republic of Moldova from 26 to 28 March. He will hold talks with top-level Moldovan officials and leadership in Tiraspol, including both Chief Negotiators.
