Russian ambassador denies summoning. "It was a useful discussion to clarify acute aspects"

The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova Oleg Ozerov said that the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was an ordinary one and that it was not summoning. On his way out, the Russian diplomat said that it was a useful discussion, which allowed the clarification of parties' positions on complicated and acute aspects of the bilateral relations, IPN reports.

Oleg Ozerov told the press that the dialogue was detailed and referred to the situation and prospects of the relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Moldova. "As you can see, it was a long discussion, with a thorough analysis of issues related to the current work of the Embassy, but also to the bilateral relations in general," said the Russian ambassador.

Ambassador Oleg Ozerov was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be handed over the note of protest in connection with the illegal and deliberate interference of the Russian Federation in the electoral process of the Republic of Moldova, with the aim of distorting the results of the presidential election and the constitutional referendum, of undermining and delegitimizing the democratic process of the Republic of Moldova.
