The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration said that a number of cases of banning Moldovan citizens from entering Russia have been reported over the last few days, IPN reports.

As to the Russian authorities’ November 5 announcement that the Moldovans who broke the migration legislation of Russia will be ‘pardoned’ if they return to Moldova in the period between November 5 and 30, the Ministry said that the Moldovan authorities haven’t yet received official information about the introduction of the new rules and the period of their validity, even if such approaches were repeatedly made to the Russian authorities.

The Ministry urges the Moldovans who intend to take steps based on the November 5 announcement to thoroughly examine the legislation of Russia on migration first.
