As many as 253 scholarships to study at universities in Russia will be provided to Transnistrian graduates. According to the Agency “Novostipmr”, half of the scholarships are intended for graduates of general schools and vocational schools, while the other half for graduates of the Tiraspol University, IPN reports.

The competent Transnistrian bodies already received 294 applications. Medicine and economy are the most popular specialties. Many young people also want to study at such faculties as tourism and design.

The contest to select the scholars will be held at the start of April.
