Political analyst Anatol Taranu considers that Moscow aims to destabilize the situation in Ukraine and Moldova so that the two countries become federations and it is able to control the given region. “Russia is no longer a reliable partner of Moldova. “The Moldovans should learn from the experience of the Baltic Countries, which, for their part, resisted the pressure exerted by Moscow. The authorities can do nothing in this situation. It is now the problem of the people, not of the authorities. We must show discernment, be united and think about the hundreds of thousands of Moldovans working in Russia, who are exposed to the risk of being discriminated and ill-treated,” said the director of the European Institute for Political Studies Viorel Cibotaru. According to him, in the current situation the authorities should better think about the equipment of the national army.
