The People’s Assembly of Gagauzia will be made up from 21 independent MPs, 10 Communists and by two MPs from the Democratic Party and Ravnopravie movement. The second round took place on March 30, in all those 17 electoral constituencies, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the president of the Central Electoral Commission from Comrat, Piotr Ivanov, the turnout was 50% on average on March 30. 22 independent candidates competed in the runoff, joined by 8 Communists, two members of Ravnopravie and by one candidate from the Agrarian Democratic Party and from the Socialist Party. According to Chisinau analysts, talks will have to be held in order to form a parliamentary majority in Gagauzia’s local parliament.
