Rospotrebnadzor says exported Moldovan wines non-compliant with rules
Russia's food safety body Rospotrebnadzor announced that four batches of wine supplied by Moldova to Russia do not meet the quality standards, Info-Prim Neo reports.
On its website, the watchdog says the wines were delivered by the companies Basvinex, Romanesti, and Imperial Vin.
Russia is the main importer of Moldovan wines. Currently, about 50 Moldovan wine makers export wine to Russia. Last April, Rospotrebnadzor imposed a series of restrictions on the export of Moldovan wines, arguing they contained noxious substances.
