Romania’s Consulate General in Bălți reopens

The Consulate General of Romania in Bălți has announced that its resumes work with the public on September 30. It will provide such services as swearing of an oath of allegiance to Romania, obtaining of the mission head’s permission to take an oath at the head office of the National Citizenship Authority, issuing of visas and registration of births, IPN reports.

The oath taking ceremony set for October 1, 2021 was transferred to October 8, 2021.

The consular services suspended in connection with COVID-19 measures were rescheduled. The oath taking ceremony arranged for September 4 will be held on October 4, that of September 28 – on October 5, that of September 29 – on October 6.

As to the visas, the change is from September 28 to October 5 and from September 29 to October 6.

The new schedule in the case of civil status documents will be announced later, after the return to the normal work regime.

The persons with symptoms of COVID-19, such as high fever, coughing, rhinorrhea and breathing difficulties, will not be allowed to enter the Consulate.

The Consulate General of Romania in Bălți stopped work several days ago following the confirmation of COVID-19 cases among employees of the consular office.
