More than 20 travel agencies from Romania, alongside operators from other states, exhibited their offers at the international exhibition “Tourism. Leisure. Hotels” that was opened at “Moldexpo” on April 7. According to the organizers, the event is at its 21st edition and every year gathers together more participants that come with diverse offers for the Moldovan tourists, IPN reports.
Attending the event, Romania’s Ambassador to Moldova Marius Lazurca said that this year Romania’s presence at the exhibition is much greater and shows the tour operators’ increased interest in Moldova. “My feeling is that the presence at this year’s event is more important. This is a good occasion for the Romanian tourism, which during the last few years obtained not only experience, but also important investments, both Romanian and international ones, in the tourism infrastructure. Romania is now more prepared to be a hospitable host, including for the Moldovan tourists, and our stand is a conclusive proof of this,” stated the diplomat.
The representative of a Romanian tourism company Mariana Carp has told IPN that Romania takes part in each exhibition of the kind. “This year, the offer is much more generous. Romania’s stand includes more exhibitors. There are 22 representatives of the tourist-spa and tourist-hotel sectors, partner tour operators from Romania and even health centers,” she said.
A number of 130 tourism companies from Moldova, Bulgaria, Hungary, Vietnam, Israel, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, and Turkey are taking part in the exhibition “Tourism. Leisure. Hotels” this year. The event will continue until April 10.
The exhibit was organized by the International Exhibitions Center “Moldexpo” and the Tourism Agency of Moldova, in partnership with the National Association of Tourism Agencies of Moldova, the National Association of Rural, Ecological and Cultural Tourism of Moldova and the Tourism Industry Employers Association of Moldova.
