Romanian President to visit Moldova again

Romanian President Traian Basescu intends to pay a visit to Moldova, to speak in front of the Moldovan Parliament for the first time, foreign Romanian minister Mihai Razvan Ungureanu announced about this on Wednesday, in Iasi, quoted by Mediafax. "Most probably the visit is to take place this autumn. I will discuss the organizational details with Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev, who is coming to Bucharest these days to conclude the South-Eastern European Cooperation Charter," Romanian foreign minister noted. The first official visit to RM of the president Traian Basescu took place on 21 January 2005, as a confirmation that RM was included among the priorities of the external policy of the Bucharest administration. This option was reconfirmed recently, at the Conference „European Romania, Atlantic Romania, Romania in international relations“, when Basescu stated that Romania wants Moldova’s integration into the EU accession wave of the Western Balkans.
