Romanian President has a tight program in Moldova
On the first day of the visit in Moldova, the President of Romania Traian Basescu has a tight program, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Basescu is expected to arrive at the Chisinau International Airport at 9.40 on Wednesday. He will be welcomed by Moldovan officials.
At 10.30, the official delegations of Moldova and Romania will arrive at the State Residence located on N. Iorga.
At 10.40, the Presidents of Romania and Moldova will have a meeting.
At 11.10, the delegations of Moldova and Romania will hold a plenary meeting.
The ceremony to award the Order of the Republic to Traian Basescu will take place at 11.40.
Miai Ghimpu and Traian Basescu will make statements for the press at 12.00.
The heads of the two states will lay wreaths at the monument to Stephan the Great at 12.20.
Traian Basescu will visit the Government of Moldova at 12.40.
At 16.00, Traian Basescu, Mihai Ghimpu and Dorin Chirtoaca will lay flowers to the graves of Grigore Vieru, Anton Crihan, Ion and Doina Aldea Teodorovici, Ion Vatamanu, Gheorghe Ghimpu and Nicolae Costin at the Central Cemetery in Chisinau.
Traian Bssescu will visit the Chisinau City Hall at 16.25.
Traian Basescu will meet with the leaders of the parliamentary groups at the State Residence at 18.00.
The last event of the first day of the visit is the meeting of Traian Basescu and the leaders of the Alliance for European Integration that will start at 21.45.
