Prime Minister Valeriu Strelets today has announced that his Romanian counterpart Victor Ponta is visiting Chisinau on August 27, when Moldova celebrates Independence Day. The Romanian official will be accompanied by a delegation composed of ministers and state counselors, IPN reports.
The Romanian delegation's official visit will commence with a flower-laying ceremony at the statue to Stephen the Great and will continue at the Grieving Mother Memorial. Valeriu Strelets and Victor Ponta will hold a bilateral meeting, after which the delegations will meet in a broader format. Later, the two prime ministers will hold a joint news conference at the Government building.
During the day, the Romanian prime minister will also meet with Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti and Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu.
