Romanian Premier to visit Chisinau next week

The Prime Minister of Romania Nicolae Ciucă next week will pay a visit to the Republic of Moldova. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, IPN reports.

“Bucharest already helps us and I’m confident that this assistance will be continuous from now on as well. Romania has been an extraordinary supporter at this first stage at which we are. There are already a lot of experts from Romania who work, including in my Cabinet and for a number of ministries. They work with different agencies and institutions of the central level,” the Moldovan Premier said when being asked by journalists about Romania’s assistance in the negotiations with the EU.

Dorin Recean said that a plan for harmonizing the legislation on the 33 chapters of the Community acquis was adopted and it was agreed with the Romanian authorities that there will be a team of experts.

“Bucharest helps us with the energy crisis and also when it goes to the development of communities, to local level projects. We have this privileged relationship and think how we can ensure reciprocity in the relations with Bucharest,” stated the Premier.

After being installed, Prime Minister Dorin Recean paid his first foreign visit to Romania. While in Bucharest, he met with his Romanian counterpart Nicolae Ciucă, President Klaus Iohannis and representatives of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies of Romania. The Premier also had a meeting with Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu of Romania.
