The Prime Minster of Romania Dacian Ciolos will pay a visit to Chisinau at the end of August or the start of September. Mediafax.ro quoted governmental sources as saying that the visit to Chisinau will be made in connection with the transfer on August 24 of the first tranche of the loan provided to Moldova by Romania, IPN reports.
This lending agreement to the value of €60 million was signed in Chisinau on October 7, 2015. Romania imposed a number of conditions for providing the financial support, including taking concrete reform measures.
Dacian Ciolos met with his Moldovan counterpart Pavel Filip in Bucharest in January and with the President of Moldova Nicolae Timofti in February, when this made an official visit to Romania.
