The Prime Minister of Romania Vasilica-Viorica Dancila is paying a working visit to the Republic of Moldova on February 27. The Romanian official will have meetings with Prime Minister Pavel Filip and Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu. During the visit, Viorica Dancila and Pavel Filip will take part in a meeting with representatives of the Siret-Prut-Nistru Euroregion and will inaugurate the Association of Romanian Investors in the Republic of Moldova.
According to the Moldovan Government’s press service, the meeting of the two Premiers will take place at the State Residence located at 23 N. Iorga St, starting at 10am. The Communication and Protocol Division of the State Chancellery will take protocol pictures and will make these available to media outlets. At 10:30am, a joint protocol picture of the two Premiers will be taken. A joint meeting in extended format of the Moldovan and Romanian delegations will follow. The media will be able to take protocol pictures at the meeting. Prime Ministers Pavel Filip and Vasilica-Viorica Dancila will make statements for the press at 11:40am.
The meeting with Speaker Andrian Candu was scheduled to take place in the Parliament Building starting at 12:15pm.
At 4:20pm, Pavel Filip and Vasilica-Viorica Dancila will take part in the ceremony to inaugurate the Association of Romanian Investors in the Republic of Moldova at the Academy of Sciences of Moldova. At 6pm, the two Premiers will have a meeting with representatives of the Siret-Prut-Nistru Euroregion at the Radisson Blu Leogrand Hotel.
“I want to assure the Moldovan authorities and the citizens from over the Prut that Romania will continue to firmly support Moldova’s efforts on its path of European integration. The Government of Romania will offer assistance in accelerating the reform process, including from the perspective of the priorities assumed by Chisinau through the Association Agreement with the European Union. Our common projects are designed to contribute to a closer connection of Moldova to the European area and to improve the citizens’ life,” stated Vasilica-Viorica Dancila, being quoted by the Romanian Government’s press service.
In connection with the visit paid by the Romanian Premier to Chisinau, the National Patrolling Inspectorate announced traffic restrictions. Thus, traffic will have limited access to the areas in the perimeter of the streets M. Banulescu Bodoni – Bucuresti – Maria Cebotari – 31 August 1989, Stefan cel Mare – M. Banulescu Bodoni – Veronica Micle – A. Pushkin and between Stefan cel Mare Blvd and Ciuflea St, near the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, and Burebista St and Dacia Blvd, near the Mother and Child Institute.
