The President of Romania Traian Basescu will pay an official visit to Moldova on July 17. He will come to Chisinau at the invitation made by his Moldovan counterpart Nicolae Timofti during a meeting in Bucharest a year ago.

The Moldovan President’s spokesman Vlad Turcanu has told IPN that Traian Basescu will have meetings with Nicolae Timofti, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca and Speaker Igor Corman.

He will also meet with the leaders of the PLDM Vlad Filat, the PDM Marian Lupu and the PL Mihai Ghimpu. It is not yet known who will form part of the Romanian delegation.
