Romanian fans denied access to Tiraspol game
The club Steaua Bucharest stated in a latter it was renouncing its share of 5 percent of tickets for the Europa League match against Sheriff at Tiraspol, to take place next Wednesday, December 2, Info-Prim Neo reports.
It also advised the Tiraspol-based club to refrain from selling tickets to Romanian tifosi, who are deemed potentially violent and have attracted numerous UEFA disciplinary sanctions for Steaua. Sheriff accepted the proposal.
Recent incidents involving Romanian fans occurred at Steaua's away games with the Dutch FC Twente and Turkey's Fenerbahce.
The decision however will not affect fans from Moldova. According to Steaua representatives in Chisinau, about 100 supporters will travel to Tiraspol to encourage their side.
