A delegation from Romania heading for Moldova was stopped at Sculeni Customs on March 26. The delegation was composed of two historians and a number of Iasi students. After waiting for about two hours, they had to go back. Mihai Cimpoi, president of the Writers Union of Moldova, has told Info-Prim Neo that the group was stopped on the pretext that it wanted to cross the border with “literary magazines that conflict with Moldova’s statehood”. Another four historians had to return from Albita-Leuseni Customs, Cimpoi said.
