Romanian Cultural Institute creation offices in Paris available for Moldovans

The Romanian Cultural Institute decided to offer the Moldovans the possibility of using its creation offices in Paris between July and December 2009, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The program implemented with the support of the Embassy of Romanian in France is designed for Romanian artists and professionals working in the field of humanistic sciences. The winners will benefit from 1-2 month accommodation in Paris and a monthly stipend of 1,500 euros to establish contacts with French specialists from their field and engage in international projects. They will be offered support by experts from the contest’s independent jury and by the team of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Paris.
This is the fifth contest of the kind. So far, there have been over 30 laureates from different areas: music, film, architecture, literature, cultural management, visual arts, theater. By such a decision, which is the first of the kind, the Romanian Cultural Institute aims to provide assistance in connecting the Moldovan artists to the European cultural context. The applications and project must be translated into French (for all the fields) or English (exclusively for music and visual arts if the applicant does not know French). The Moldovan nationals will also have an interview over the phone in Romanian. The deadline for applications is May 11, 2009. The applicants are asked to specify their preferred period.
