Romanian consulate in Cahul launches campaign “Sledes of Hope”
A number of 35 children from socially deprived families from Cismichioi and Etulia villages of Vulcanesti district received winter clothes and shoes. They represent the first donation within the campaign “Sleds of Hope 2012-2013” that was launched by the General Consulate of Romania in Cahul on January 11, Info-Prim Neo reports.
With the support of the Department for Romanians Everywhere, Romania’s Consul General Gentiana Serbu will donate teaching aids in Romanian and methodological books to help teach all the subjects in the Romanian language to three education institutions - the Theoretical Lyceum “S. Economov” in Etulia, and the Secondary School and Theoretical Lyceum in Cismichioi.
In the immediate period, the donation campaign will continue in the other southern districts of Moldova that constitute the consular constituency Cahul. Another 300 children will receive clothes, shoes and books within the campaign this year.
