Romanian Company “Leonardo” extends in Moldova

“Leonardo” Company announced it will extends its network of shops in other markets of Eastern Europe, the main target countries being the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Turkey, after it has already opened the first shops in Hungary and Bulgaria, “Ziarul Financiar” newspaper reports, cited by Info-Prim Neo. "At the moment we analyze these markets, but when we find locations that would correspond to our standards, we will open new shops in any of these countries. Having the experience of Hungary, where we have 32 shops and that of Bulgaria, where we have two shops, we think we can succeed in implementing new extending projects ", Gratian Ivan declared, commercial director of “Leonardo”. The company’s representatives estimate that till the end of the year other 5 shops in Hungary and one in Bulgaria will be opened. Leaders of the company plan for this year a turnover of more than EUR 74 mln in Romania, 30 % more than last year. Leonardo company group includes Leonardo Ltd, Leonardo Hungary KFT and the company Leonardo Design – producing commercial furniture and interior arrangement. Leonardo Ltd and Leonardo Hungary KFT operate 99% of the group’s sales. The group concluded the financial year 2005 with sales amounting to EUR 57 mln in Romania and EUR 9 mln in Hungary. Also, the company registered in Romania a net profit of EUR 2.5 mln. The shops of the “Leonardo” network sells footwear as well as accessories – handbags, belts, purses, bags, socks, umbrellas, and footwear maintenance products.
