Romanian authorities will issue simpler application form for small-scale traffic permits

Premier Emil Boc will mandate the Romanian Foreign Ministry to issue a new, simplified form for applying for small-scale traffic permits. He informed Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat about this during a phone conversation on Wednesday, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Government's press service. The Romanian Premier said some of the conditions will be simplified so as to facilitate the obtaining of the permit. For his part, Vlad Filat told his counterpart he instructed facilitating the implementation of the Small-Scale Border Traffic Agreement, especially the procedure for obtaining small-scale traffic permits. He also said he went to the Romanian Consulate in Chisinau to collect facts on the spot. The Small-Scale Border Traffic Agreement took effect on February 26. It enables the holders of small-scale traffic permits to travel visa-free 50 kilometers inland Romania.
