The Republic of Moldova was placed in the red zone of the countries with an increased epidemiological risk for COVID-19, by the January 21 decision of the National Committee for Emergency Situations of Romania. Only those who have a COVID certificate (proof of vaccination, negative test or recovery) will be exempted from quarantine when entering Romania, IPN reports.
With an incidence of 3.0 cases per 1,000 people, the Republic of Moldova ranks last, in the red zone, on the list compiled by the National Committee for Emergency Situations that was published by Agerpres. The red zone also includes Ireland (58.7 cases/1,000), France (55.6), Denmark (51.5), Montenegro (49.2), Portugal (45.9) and others.
The yellow zone covers such countries as the Russian Federation (1.9), Ukraine (1.9), and Belarus (1.6), while the green zone - Armenia (0.9), Kirgizstan (0.9) and Azerbaijan (0.8).
