The Government of Romania transferred €3 million in financial assistance to the Republic of Moldova. The money is intended for financing repair works in 83 kindergartens, in accordance with the cooperation program for 2016 between the two states, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration of Romania, the cooperation was launched in 2010 by signing an agreement on the implementation of a technical and financial assistance program with non-reimbursable financial assistance of €100 million provided by Romania to Moldova. The accord was signed in June 2010 and five additional protocols were signed afterward.
The provision of the sum of €3 million was approved in a Government meeting of October 5 this year, through the Memorandum.
The Ministry said it bought the first 96 minibuses for transporting students that will be donated to the Republic of Moldova. These include 95 minibuses with 16+1 seats and a minibus designed for transporting persons with reduced mobility, which has two special wheelchairs.
The donation of minibuses to the Republic of Moldova was approved this June.
