Romania to offer technical support in implementing European legislation in Moldova

Romania will assist Moldova in identifying effective solutions in the process of harmonizing the national legislation with that of the European Union and of transposing this so as to avoid particular implementation mistakes of which Romania notified the Europeans Commission, the Governmental Agent for the Court of Justice of the European Union Razvan Horatiu Radu, Undersecretary of State with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, stated in a meeting with the director of the Center for Harmonization of the Legislation of the Republic of Moldova Natalia Suceveanu, IPN reports.

In a press release, the Ministry of Justice says the officials underlined the privileged character of the relations between Moldova and Romania, which were emphasized by the strategic cooperation format at the level of the Joint Romania-Moldova Intergovernmental Commission for Europeans Integration.

As a result of the process of legislative adjustment, it is important to ensure an appropriate legislative framework that will match the national interests and will meet the exigencies of the European legislation, said Razvan Horatiu Radu.

Under the new legislative amendments, the National Plan for Harmonizing the Legislation was integrated into a common Plan of Action of the Government for implementing the Moldova – EU Association Agreement, while the Center for Harmonization of the Legislation of the Republic of Moldova coordinates the measures for transposing the EU legislation.
