A sum of €5.29 million will be invested in the construction of the Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline on Moldova’s territory. The money will be allocated by Romania from the €100 million in non-reimbursable assistance that it promised for implementing infrastructure projects, IPN reports.
Minister of Regional Development and Construction Marcel Raducan said a total of €6.65 million is needed for financing the works on the segment going through Moldova. Romania will provide €5.29 million, while the rest of the money will be allocated through the Joint Operational Program Romania – Ukraine – Republic of Moldova that is financed by the EU.
The gas pipeline will be ready at this yearend.
