Romania to offer five ambulances to Balti SMURD Service

Romania will provide five ambulances to the SMURD Service that will be opened in Balti. The announcement was made by Romanian Ambassador in Moldova Marius Lazurca in a meeting with Minister of Health Andrei Usatyi, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the Ministry of Health.

Andrei Usatyi said they are now implementing a public-private partnership project to equip the radiotherapy center for oncologic diseases and invited bidders from Romania to take part in the project.

The minister asked the Romanian authorities to institute a special border crossing regime for the radioactive preparations needed to diagnose SPECT-CT, in nuclear medicine. These substances are produced according to a sophisticated technology in Romania’s Iasi and must be used during 6 – 7 hours.

The sides exchanged opinions on the necessity of eliminating barriers and intensifying experience exchange between doctors from both countries. The Romanian diplomat made reference to a recent study that reveals the necessity of this practice, saying many Moldovan doctors work successfully in Romania.
