Romania will continue to finance the rehabilitation of kindergartens in Moldova and will also support new projects to improve the living conditions. The subject was discussed in a meeting of Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Nicolae Ciubuc with Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Daniel Ioniță and secretary of state at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration of Romania Virgil Alin Chirilă, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The minister thanked the Romanian authorities for the unconditional assistance provided to Moldova and expressed his readiness for establish open, transparent and efficient cooperation relations in order to improve the living conditions of the Moldovan citizens.
“I thank you for the good news at the start of my tenure as minister. We appreciate and thank you for what Romania does for our citizens. We bank on the constant support offered by Romania. I’m convinced that we will develop close cooperation relations and a solid partnership that will increase the citizens’ confidence,” stated Nicolae Ciubuc.
For his part, Virgil Alin Chirilă said they are waiting for the Government of the Republic of Moldova to present the list of kindergartens that will be repaired with the non-reimbursable financial assistance of €100 million and for the Moldovan Government’s view about the implementation of water supply projects. “We are ready for fruitful cooperation relations for developing a number of new projects. We wish you a long term in office as we have many good things to do,” noted the Romanian official.
The grant aid provided by Romania was used to renovate over 800 preschool education institutions in Moldova. The program benefitted over 200,000 persons – children, parents and teachers.
