The Cabinet on February 22 approved the list of kindergartens that will benefit from financial support on the part of the Government of Romania for renovating the infrastructure and ensuring optimal functioning conditions. A number of 83 kindergartens will be modernized in all, IPN reports.

For the purpose, the Government of Romania will provide €3 million in assistance, while the Government of Moldova will additionally contribute 4% of the sum.

The money will be used to modernize kindergartens’ heating systems, to replace the windows and roofs, to purchase new furniture and necessary equipment and to set up playgrounds. There will be opened two new kindergartens, in Bacioi and Sangera of Chisinau municipality.

In 2014 – 2016, Romania allocated €23 million for refurbishing 832 kindergartens in all the districts of Moldova.
