The Embassy of Romania in Chisinau issued a new communiqué, informing that until all the legal and administrative circumstances are not clarified by a dialogue between the Romanian and Moldovan authorities, the requirement to submit a detailed criminal record for regaining Romanian nationality will not be employed so that the previous practice will continue to be used, IPN reports.

Earlier today, the Embassy announced that the Moldovans who will want to regain the Romanian nationality will have to attach a detailed criminal record certificate to the other required documents. The decision was taken by the Citizenship Commission of the National Authority for Citizenship and took effect on March 4.
